Veaceslav Ionita, LDPM member and president of the parliamentary committee on economy, budget and finances, argues that the Republic of Moldova does not have problems in terms of capital investments and economic growth. Rather, there are gaps in the implementation of certain laws.
‘’I believe that Moldova doesn’t have any problems with capital investments and economic growth. The problem lies within the fact that we do not implement certain laws. I proposed a draft law in the Parliament regarding the reduction of supervisory bodies, but I failed. When you aim at reducing supervisory bodies, you face resistance. There has always been pressure and that’s why we have withdrawn this law. We are facing resistance in implementing reforms’’, stated Veaceslav Ionita in a TV program.
At the same time Ionita mentioned that the free economic zones could represent a solution for the development of the country’s economic growth. ‘’Free economic zones have always been an opportunity for development. I don’t understand why their development is being hindered in Moldova. I believe that the free economic zones represent a solution for big companies in the context of the Republic of Moldova.
I believe that these zones have to be the solution for the next ten years. Unfortunately, many people in Moldova do not think the same way however’’, stated Ionita.
